Terms of Use

The platform is intended for adults (18 and over). We do not ask for or verify your age or date of birth, and we do not unlock or restrict features by age band. If we learn that an account belongs to someone below that age, we remove it.

Public browsing is available without an account. You may create an account using a temporary email code, then complete your name, residence, and participation lane. A lane is not a nationality statement and we do not ask for nationality evidence. Some private or sensitive features require personal trust, which the team grants after a human review. We may ask you for a short video before that decision, as described in the Privacy Policy. Trust does not change your lane or verify a business. You are responsible for accurate information, sign-in codes, and account activity, and may not transfer your account or share your sign-in codes.

You agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, misleading, or infringes another person’s rights.
• Harass others, promote hate, exploit people, or disclose another person’s private information without a lawful basis.
• Use religion for sectarian advocacy, recruitment, exclusion, denigration, disguised political mobilization, or attacks on belief or non-belief. Neutral logistical religious announcements are allowed.
• Impersonate anyone or misrepresent information, documents, opportunities, or a business.
• Misuse messaging, spam people, or send unsolicited promotional content.
• Attempt to compromise or disrupt the platform, bypass access controls, or collect data through unauthorized automation.

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting it, you grant Team Syria a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, copy, and distribute it as needed to operate the platform and promote that content within the platform. You confirm that you have the rights needed to post the content and that it does not violate law or another person's rights. You may remove content through available tools, subject to the limited records described in the Privacy Policy.

You can report violating content or behavior and block users. New posts, comments, questions, and answers are held before public display and may be assessed through automated processing followed by human review. An automated hold or delay is not a violation or warning. Only a human-confirmed decision counts against an account, and you may request review of that decision. We may restrict or remove content and restrict or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect the community, or comply with law.

Business owners and publishers are responsible for the accuracy of listings, prices, terms, and opportunities they publish. The platform helps people connect but is not a party to their transactions, payments, hiring, or other agreements. Verify details before entering a transaction or providing additional information.

Team Syria sometimes adds a card for a real business before its owner has an account, using the business's own publicly published sources. Such a listing is shown labelled as not managed by its owner and carries no verification badge. The owner may claim and manage it, or ask us to remove it through the listing removal page, or by writing to the address below. We require no proof of ownership to act on a removal request, and we commit to responding within 48 hours.

Some members and businesses display a verification badge. A badge shows only what Team Syria actually checked, and each badge states which check was performed.

• “Identity verified” means we confirmed the identity of the person, or the existence of the business. We did not check any professional licence, permit, certification, or qualification.
• “Licence verified” means we were shown a professional licence or permit number and confirmed it against the issuing body’s public register on the date displayed. We do not monitor licences after that date — a licence may expire, be suspended, or be revoked without our knowledge.

No badge is a recommendation, an endorsement, a guarantee of quality, or a warranty of any work performed. The absence of a badge is not a negative signal. Always confirm a licence directly with the issuing body before hiring, paying, or entering into any agreement.

The platform may display maps, news, links, or data supplied by third parties. Those services are governed by their providers' terms, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or transactions.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account that violates these terms or puts the community or platform at risk. You may start account deletion at any time through settings or the account deletion page.

Content on the platform — including member questions and answers, guides, and posts — is general information and community experience-sharing. It is not professional medical, legal, financial, tax, or immigration advice, and using the platform does not create a professional relationship between you and Team Syria or any member. For decisions about your health, legal status, or money, consult a licensed professional in your jurisdiction. We do not verify members' qualifications or licences, and listing a person or business in the directory is neither a recommendation nor a guarantee.

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of all user content or uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, Team Syria is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform or reliance on its content. Data drawn from external sources — such as exchange rates, fuel prices, and news — is shown as supplied by those sources, may be inaccurate or out of date, and carries no warranty.

If you publish content on the platform, or use the platform in the course of a business or professional activity, you are responsible for what you publish. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Team Syria and Groupe TISKON inc. against claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from content you published, from your breach of these terms, or from your dealings with another user, where these result from your fault.

This does not limit any right you have as a consumer under applicable consumer protection laws, and does not apply to loss caused by our own fault.

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the platform, are governed by the laws in force in the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, Quebec, have exclusive jurisdiction — subject to any mandatory right you may have, under the consumer protection laws of your place of residence, to bring proceedings before the courts of that place.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will publish the updated version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the platform after an update takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
